Congratulations to Circuit Judge Joshua Devine

On June 6, 2020, former Rogers, Ehrhardt, Weber & Howard principal Joshua Devine was sworn in as the newest Circuit Judge for Boone County and Callaway County. Judge Devine has an incredible legal mind, and while he will certainly be missed at Rogers | Ehrhardt, he was meant to sit on the Bench.

Before joining Rogers, Ehrhardt, Weber & Howard, in 2015 as a principal, Judge Devine practiced civil law with Ford, Parshall & Baker in Columbia, and Husch Blackwell LLP in St. Louis. He left Rogers | Ehrhardt in 2018 when he was appointed a Boone County Associate Circuit Judge, but returned to his law practice in 2019. He earned his law degree from the University of Missouri — Columbia in 2007, where he was named to the Order of the Coif, and he received an undergraduate degree in political science from Truman State University in 2003, where he graduated with honors.

Judge Devine received numerous awards and accolades in law school, including the Judge L.F. Cottey Award for excellence in written and oral advocacy, the William M. Howard Award in Legal Research and Writing, and he was a note and comment editor of the Missouri Law Review. In private practice, he was named to the Missouri-Kansas Super Lawyers Rising Stars list in four consecutive years, from 2014 through 2017.

Judge Devine is on the board of directors for the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Mid-Missouri. He is married to Christina Devine, an attorney in Columbia. They have two sons.
